Wausau Window and Wall Systems
Base schedule: 6 am - 2:30 pm - not including overtime
Starting pay: $22.00
General Description:
The Builder I is responsible to build doors correctly and efficiently per specifications. Builders are responsible for their primary position, but are cross-trained in other Assembly positions to provide assistance when needed.
Builder I Duties Include:
- Read and verify door assembly paperwork for product accuracy.
- Inspect quality and verify quantity of materials to prepare for assembly.
- Using hand and light power tools, assemble doors per specification.
- Perform visual inspection of all material processed for obvious visual defects.
- Complete production and data collection documents.
- Perform 5S duties as required
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
- Able to read and understand work instructions and work orders
- Able to work flexible hours to meet customer demands when required
- Able to work at a fast pace to ensure production goals are met
- Able to read a tape measure accurately
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
- Reliable transportation
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic proficiency with computer data entry
- Able to stand for minimum of 8 hours
- Able to occasionally lift up to 75 pounds
- Able to repetitively bend, lift, and twist
