Job Overview
Experienced shipper. Responsible for the preparation of domestic and foreign shipments in accordance with shipping requirements and specifications. General assignment supervised.
Key Responsibilities
Check shipment for correct materials, packing, and crating, tagging and handing instructions, loading and bracing, etc. Basic problem-solving skills for handling discrepancies in orders or inventory. Proficiency in operating a wider range of warehouse equipment, including forklifts. Assign and check work of Packers and Craters and others engaged in the shipping procedures. Ability to manage inventory, including cycle counting and stock rotation. Load correct finished goods products and materials into boxes and ensure boxes are taped properly. Understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) for tracking and reporting inventory. Must be cross-trained and able to support all Warehouse I & II roles.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Essential Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1-2 years of experience in warehouse operations.
- Ability to use and accurately read measuring devices (tape measures).
- Ability to use hand tools (hammer, wrench, level, etc.).
- Ability to follow blueprints.
- Ability to read and interpret Work Instructions and Standard Operating Procedures.
- Ability to use a computer with basic proficiency (data entry).

Work Environment
- The position is based in a manufacturing facility, which may involve exposure to loud noises, varying temperatures, and dust from production processes.
- Associates will frequently work near or with machinery with moving parts, following strict safety protocols.
- The facility operates on shift schedules with potential for overtime, including weekends, based on production needs.
