Function:
In this role, the individual must have the ability to interpret customer quotations and accurately manage a high volume of quotations utilizing Viracon’s systems to ensure accuracy of all transactions. This includes verifying quotation information with Viracon’s customers. This individual will follow the standard processes in place for all estimator levels within Viracon’s sales department. Those in Estimator 1 positions will be assigned the quoting responsibility of small level projects. This individual must possess knowledge of Viracon’s products, manufacturing capabilities and limitations and work closely in a partnering relationship with Viracon’s customers and field sales team, which fosters the sales department’s team philosophy.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
1. Analyze, interpret and prepare a high volume of quotations for replacements small-scale projects. Assist in all areas of the estimating department to help evenly distribute workloads as necessary.
2. Delegate the task of take-off entry to the order entry team.
3. Responsible for quote accuracy and completed documents back to the customer according to the timeline provided.
4. With minimal supervision, provide excellent customer service throughout the duration of the bidding process.
5. Problem-solve, make decisions and work to resolve problems.
6. Consistently communicate with internal and external customer to ensure timely and accurate transactions.
7. Apply and utilize knowledge of Viracon’s product offerings, production capabilities and product transactions.
8. Maintain project files with required quote information according to Viracon’s filing and retention policies.
9. Utilize all technical tools used by the sales department.
10. Lead by example and deliver high level results.
11. Follow all processes documented in Viracon’s Business Process System.
12. Reports to an inside sales manager.
13. Other duties as assigned by the Sales Management Team.
Qualifications:
1. A four-year degree preferred.
2. 0-3 years of customer service experience preferred and/or Viracon Order Entry Specialist experience preferred.
3. Must have the ability to learn and perform the requirements of the estimator 1 role.
4. Strong attention to details, self-organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
5. Knowledge of fractions, decimals and geometric patterns.
6. Ability to communicate with employees at all levels of the company.
7. Strong interpersonal and listening skills.
8. A motivated, self-starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
9. Regular, full-time attendance.
10. Safely perform essential job responsibilities.
11. Promotes Viracon in a positive manner and obeys all policies.
