Architectural Metals (Metals) is a segment within Apogee that is a provider of aluminum windows, curtainwall (soon to be retired), storefront and entrance systems. Position Summary
Hours: 1:00 p.m. - 9:30 p.m.
The Wastewater Technician I is primarily responsible for the treatment of wastewater through pH adjustments, solids removal, and chrome reduction. Additionally, they ensure that wastewater treatment equipment, including pumps, conveyors, blowers, chlorinators, and vacuum systems, are functioning properly. This role is responsible for monitoring equipment for potential failures, performing minor repairs or adjustments, and collecting water samples for chemical analysis. This is an entry-level position, however it is on second shift and will require the ability to work under little to no supervision and guidance from senior personnel.
Key Responsibilities
Treatment of wastewater through pH adjustments, solids removal, and chrome reduction.
Monitor wastewater treatment equipment and systems to ensure proper functionality.
Perform minor repairs or adjustments to equipment as necessary.
Collect and document water samples for chemical testing and analysis.
Complete routine inspections and maintain records related to equipment maintenance and operations.
Support compliance with environmental regulations and company standards
Perform work with precision and diligence, paying close attention to details
