About the Role:

MP Drafting & Design is growing, and we’re on the lookout for an experienced shop drawing drafter with a background in commercial glazing and/or metal panel systems.

We’re not in a rush to fill this role today — but we are actively building relationships with the right people for the next phase of our growth. If you’re a seasoned drafter who wants to be part of a tight-knit team, contribute to real projects (not just get thrown redlines), and help us continue refining our standards and workflows, we’d love to talk.

What You’ll Do:

Drafting accurate, well-organized shop drawings for systems like curtain wall, storefront, entrances, and metal panels
Reviewing architectural drawings and breaking them down into clear, buildable details
Working with a team of drafters, engineers, and project managers to hit deadlines and solve problems
Helping improve internal standards and templates as we scale
Participating in weekly team meetings and check-ins

What We’re Looking For:

3+ years of experience in glazing or metal panel drafting
Strong AutoCAD skills (Revit is a plus, but not required)
Knowledge of major glazing systems (Tubelite, Kawneer, EFCO, etc.) and experience with metal panels like IMP, ACM, etc.
Someone who’s organized, responsive, and comfortable juggling multiple projects
A team-first attitude — we want people who care about getting it right and helping others
Willing to work from our South Lyon office. Remote options are available for those who are unable to commute to the South Lyon location.
