About the Role:
MP Drafting & Design is growing, and we’re on the lookout for an experienced shop drawing drafter with a background in commercial glazing and/or metal panel systems.
We’re not in a rush to fill this role today — but we are actively building relationships with the right people for the next phase of our growth. What You’ll Do:
- Drafting accurate, well-organized shop drawings for systems like curtain wall, storefront, entrances, and metal panels
- Reviewing architectural drawings and breaking them down into clear, buildable details
- Working with a team of drafters, engineers, and project managers to hit deadlines and solve problems
- Helping improve internal standards and templates as we scale
- Participating in weekly team meetings and check-ins
What We’re Looking For:
- 3+ years of experience in glazing or metal panel drafting
- Strong AutoCAD skills (Revit is a plus, but not required)
- Knowledge of major glazing systems (Tubelite, Kawneer, EFCO, etc.) and experience with metal panels like IMP, ACM, etc.
- Someone who’s organized, responsive, and comfortable juggling multiple projects
- A team-first attitude — we want people who care about getting it right and helping others
- Willing to work from our South Lyon office. Remote options are available for those who are unable to commute to the South Lyon location.
